 A meeting of the Turkmen-Georgian commission on economic cooperation will be held in Tbilisi

The next meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission on Economic Cooperation will be held in Tbilisi on June 5-6. This was announced at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday by Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Atdayev.

Among the important areas of partnership between Turkmenistan and Georgia are the energy sector, that is, the supply of Turkmen products to the gas and oil refining industry, as well as the transport and communication sector, including cooperation in the development of transport corridors taking into account the potential of the Caspian and Black Sea regions. Turkmenistan is interested in the possibility of using terminals in the ports of Poti and Batumi for transshipment of export cargoes. There is a demand for increasing the supply and transit of mineral fertilizers through Georgia.

On the agenda of bilateral cooperation is the expansion of ties between commodity exchanges, business structures, the creation of joint ventures and promising projects in the field of tourism.
