Create your campus of the future: participate in the UN competition
13.01.2020 | 10:23 |The UN invites students and teachers from Turkmenistan to participate in the international competition “Challenge CAMPUS 2030” to form a sustainable campus of the future.
A team of students and faculty members (2-5 people) must submit a project that will include at least 3 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and can be implemented on campus.
The project, consisting of five slides, can cover the following four areas of the campus:
- Student standard of living. The proposed research should answer the question of how the students’ standard of living will develop in the SDGs direction (life on campus, accommodation, food, etc.).
- Campus in the city. It should reveal how the infrastructure of the future campuses will meet the SDGs requirements (new use of the campus, integration of the campus into the city, green technologies).
- Education on campus – bringing higher education to international standards, interdisciplinarity, education of the future, and also researches in various fields.
- The digitization of the campus. The project should answer the question: How will digitalization achieve the SDGs on University campuses? For example, the creation of connected or virtual campuses, the introduction of digital education.
Works must be downloaded in English or French to the Agorize platform. Deadline for applications is February 16, 2020.
The finalists will defend their projects before the UN representatives and the Francophonie University (Agence universitaire de la Francophonie), a global network of French-speaking higher education and research institutions. The winners will receive a week of study abroad.
