The possibilities of developing renewable energy in the climatic conditions of Turkmenistan were discussed during a seminar organized by the United Nations Development Program.

The participants of the meeting reviewed international experience in the development of regulatory documents in the field of renewable energy sources, methods of conducting energy surveys of residential and public buildings.

They also got acquainted with the development of the draft Law of Turkmenistan "On energy efficiency and energy conservation", which is currently under consideration by the Parliament.
