China Daily: Bustling Beijing returns to normal life

According to the transport center, 2.41 million commuter trips were registered at metro stations in the city, and the number of bus routes used reached 970 thousand, an increase of 17% in a week.
Commercial institutions and tourism business in Beijing have shown promising results.
During the New Year holidays, department stores, supermarkets, restaurants and online trading platforms earned $511 million, which is 83.8% more than in the same period of the previous year.
In recent weeks, New Year's events have been held in Beijing, which attracted a lot of people. During the holidays, more than 150 major city attractions were visited 2.69 million times. The total revenue from visits amounted to $34.567 million, which is 44.5% higher than the results of 2019, when there was no pandemic yet.
