The German Embassy begins electronic recording of the reception of citizens for obtaining a Schengen visa
18.11.2022 | 01:57 |The Consular Department of the Embassy of Germany in Turkmenistan opens electronic preliminary reception of citizens to apply for a Schengen visa, – the website of the German diplomatic mission in Ashgabat reports.
The application for a visa must be submitted no earlier than 3 months before the start of the trip. Citizens of Turkmenistan must personally apply for a Schengen visa no later than 15 days before the planned trip.
The usual period for processing a visa application is 15 days. In some cases, it may take longer. The Embassy of Germany informs that it does not guarantee the issuance of a visa on a certain day. Also, the consular department does not bear financial responsibility in cases of delay or refusal to issue a visa.
The visa fee is 80 euros and is paid only in cash in US dollars (at the exchange rate on the day of application. You need to pay the exact amount equal to the visa fee (without change). Damaged banknotes are not accepted," the embassy said in a statement.
