Silicon Valley, located in San Francisco in the US state of California, expects the emergence of large unicorn companies from Central Asia in the next 10-15 years.

This was announced by the organizers of the Central Eurasia at Silicon Valley technology conference, the first in the history of Silicon Valley, Kazinform International agency reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the republic.

In the event, which took place in a landmark place for Silicon Valley – in the Yerba Buena Arts Center hall. It was there that Apple founder Steve Jobs first introduced the iPhone and iPad to the public.

The conference was attended by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Jaslan Madiyev.

According to the organizers, Central Eurasia is a prosperous region with huge untapped potential. With a total population of 100 million people and an average age of 27, about 200,000 people annually receive education in the field of STEM (science, technology, education, mathematics).

The region has everything necessary for the development of the tech industry: universities, startup ecosystem, venture funds.
