Referees from Turkmenistan will referee an AFC Challenge League match for the first time
29.10.2024 | 14:44 |The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) entrusted the Turkmen team of referees to conduct the second round match of the Challenge League between the Paro teams from Bhutan and Nejmeh from Lebanon.
Resul Mammedov was appointed as the main referee of the meeting, who will work with assistants Akhmet Begnazarov and Palvan Palvanov. The match will take place on October 29 at the Changlimitang Stadium in Thimphu (Bhutan) and will begin at 16:00 Ashgabat time.
For Turkmen referees, this is the first time they are refereeing a match within the Challenge League.
Resul Mammedov, a FIFA-licensed referee, has previously refereed one of the Asian Cup U-20 qualifying matches, making this the second match of his career as a referee in an AFC tournament.
