The traditional autumn tree planting campaign will be held in Turkmenistan at the national level on Saturday, November 5. The date of the massive planting campaign was announced at a video conference between President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the heads of the country's regions and Deputy Prime Minister for Agro-Industrial Complex Annageldi Yazmyradov.
The head of state instructed the heads of regional administrations to ensure a high level of organization of the environmental event at places.

Mass planting of trees, which unfolds simultaneously throughout the country, takes place in Turkmenistan twice a year – in spring and autumn. Traditionally, the president gives them a start.
Thus, 3 million saplings of deciduous, coniferous, fruit trees and grapes are usually planted annually in the country. The exceptions were the anniversary years – in 2020, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the neutrality of Turkmenistan, 25 million trees were planted, and in 2021 – in honor of the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan – 30 million trees.
