President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Turkmenistan yesterday, December 11, for an official visit.
The visit of the distinguished guest is connected with his participation in international-level celebrations dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s status of permanent neutrality.
The Turkish leader was welcomed at the Ashgabat International Airport by government officials. This visit holds significant importance for further strengthening interstate dialogue between Türkiye and Turkmenistan, as well as for expanding bilateral cooperation in political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Accompanying President Erdoğan on his trip to Turkmenistan were his spouse Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Head of the Presidential Communications Directorate Burhanettin Duran, Head of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) İbrahim Kalın, Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States Binali Yıldırım.
