Çalik Enerji to build a solar-wind power plant in Turkmenistan in a year and a half
02.07.2022 | 22:40 |The Turkmenenergo Electric Power State Corporation will sign a contract with the Turkish company Çalik Enerji Sanaýi we Tijaret A.Ş. for the construction of the first solar-wind power plant in Turkmenistan.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution on this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, the official Turkmen press writes today.
Previously winning tender for the implementation of this project Çalik Enerji will design and build an innovative facility in the Serdar region of the Balkan region.
The contract will stipulate that the capacity of the power plant will be 10 MW, engineering systems and water supply facilities will be connected to it and connected to the general network. A power line from the Serdar power plant will also be extended to the facility.
In accordance with the presidential decree, the project should be implemented in a year and a half- construction is scheduled to begin in July 2022, and the facility is scheduled to be put into operation in January 2024.
The first solar-wind power plant in Turkmenistan will power the houses in the settlements that are planned to be created around the artificial lake Altyn Asyr-a grandiose eco-project of regional importance.
