A star of the German stage will perform a concert in Ashgabat
15.03.2025 | 20:20On April 4th, a concert by the renowned German singer and actress Katharine Mehrling will take place on the stage of the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. As reported by Orient, her performance will be accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of Honored Artist of the country Rasul Klychev.
Katharine Mehrling is a prominent star of the German stage, equally talented in various roles. Whether as an actress in theater or film, a singer freely mastering numerous musical styles, or a songwriter of her own compositions, she defies limitations. Mehrling embraces all creative freedoms, uniting rather than separating – it is precisely this that makes her art so vibrant and multifaceted.
The singer has been honored with the prestigious audience award of the Berlin Theatre Club, the "Golden Curtain", eight times as Berlin's most beloved actress. Among her recent notable works are the play "Stranger Than the Moon", directed by Oliver Reese at the legendary Berliner Ensemble, and the role of Roxie Hart in the musical "CHICAGO" at the Komische Oper Berlin, directed by the renowned Barrie Kosky.
Last year, Katharina presented her album "KURT WEILL ALBUM," released on the "Deutsche Grammophon" label under the direction of the principal conductor of the Konzerthaus Berlin orchestra, Joana Mallwitz. In September, her new solo album "IN BERLIN" was released on her own label, "MEHRlingMUSIK".
