Oriented on making people closer

The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdymukhammedov, congratulated workers in the healthcare and medical industry on their professional holiday, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the national healthcare system, implementing modern treatment methods, and developing the medical industry.

Over the 30 years since the adoption of the State Program “Saglyk,” a solid foundation has been established for the healthcare system. Within the framework of the Era of Revival of the New Age, modern diagnostic and clinical centers, multi-profile hospitals, sanatoriums, and pharmaceutical production facilities using local raw materials are being constructed.

Among these are the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology in Ashgabat, the Maternal and Child Health Center, and a Multi-Profile Hospital in Arkadag city; the International Pediatric Center with 160 beds, the International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Center with 500 beds, a Dental Center, a medical cluster, and new buildings of the “Arçman” sanatorium with 400 beds in the Baherden District of Ahal Province.

Special attention is paid to the development of the medical industry. At the “Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment” enterprise, production of medical products based on environmentally friendly local raw materials has been established, while domestic doctors undergo advanced training in leading centers across Europe and other countries. The Turkmen-German Medical Forum facilitates experience exchange and the implementation of advanced methods in applied medicine.

The Charitable Foundation for Assisting Children in Need of Care, named after Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov, provides support for medical treatment and diagnostic procedures and equips healthcare facilities with necessary equipment and medical technology. State measures in the healthcare sector are recognized by international organizations, including the World Health Organization and UNICEF.

The International Exhibition and Scientific Conference “Healthcare, Education, and Sports in the Era of Revival of the New Age of a Powerful State” highlights the development of the national education and physical culture systems. Modern educational institutions, kindergartens, creative centers, sports complexes are being built, along with the creation of conditions for hosting major international sporting events.

The President emphasized that the health and well-being of citizens remain the main priority of state policy, and the achieved successes contribute to strengthening Turkmenistan’s authority on the international stage and developing cooperation with foreign partners.

Serdar Berdymukhammedov wished all healthcare workers, as well as participants of the exhibition and conference, good health, well-being, happiness, and success in their professional activities.
