Ashkhabad hosted the 15th summit of heads of the states-participants of the Economic Cooperation Organization, as the capital of the country-chairman in the Economic Cooperation Organization in 2021. It was held on Sunday, on ECO Day, under the chairmanship of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Today XV Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) under the chairmanship of the President of Turkmenistan started in Ashkhabad with participation of heads of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, and also Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and ECO Secretary General.
