A little more than a month remains until the start of the VIII Moscow International Art Festival “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Halmamedov, which this year will be held from 28 October to 3 November. Greetings to the participants and organizers of the festival are already starting to arrive. The 6th Tsinandali Classical Music Festival is taking place in Georgia from August 31 to September 8. The annual festival at the Tsinandali estate in the beautiful Kakheti region of Georgia held since 2019 represents a classical music venue at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, featuring world-famous musicians, orchestras, and artists.

Turkmen music is a treasure trove of folk art, which has always attracted and inspired researchers, travelers, composers, artists and writers. The musical heritage of the Turkmen includes wise proverbs and riddles, cheerful and sad ritual songs, love, solemn and heroic songs of bakhshi, epics and destans about the glorious exploits of heroes, defenders of the land of the people, performed to the accompaniment of the invariable dutar.

“Towards the VIII Festival “Sounds of Dutar” - this is the name of the concert, which will be held on 15 September in Moscow, at the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts, and will be a kind of prelude to the VIII Moscow International Arts Festival “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Halmamedov, which this year will be held from 28 October to 3 November. The concert will feature jury members and laureates of musical competitions of different years. It starts at 16.00.

Day of Turkmenistan was held as part of the Caspian Seasons international classical art festival in Astrakhan on Saturday, August 24.

The final of the music competition "Çalsana, bagşy!" ("Play, bakhshi!") was held at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center. This event is a separate nomination in the state creative competition "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry" for the Prize of the President of Turkmenistan.
