The delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan paid a working visit to the city of Shenzhen, a major industrial, financial and transport center of China.
During the business trip, which took place from December 18 to 22, representatives of the Turkmen customs met with the leadership of the Department of Audit Control and Enterprise Management of the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China and specialists in the system of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO), according to the website of the GTST.
The meeting took place in the administrative building of the Shenzhen Customs, where the participants discussed the mechanism for implementing the Memorandum of Understanding on expanding the capabilities of the AEO system between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China dated October 19, 2023.
AEO specialists from the customs offices of Shenzhen, Qingdao and Shenyang made presentations on the experience and issues of implementing their programs. For a better understanding and clarity, a visit to the AEO Training Center, which is located on the basis of the Shenzhen Customs, was organized.
There was also an excursion to the headquarters of the KTC Commercial Display company, where AEO specialists and company employees demonstrated the process of issuing AEO certificates.
In addition, as part of a working trip to Shenzhen, the Turkmen delegation visited the Mavan smart port terminal, got acquainted with its infrastructure, innovative mechanisms and capabilities of the latest smart technologies used in the port for customs operations. The program of events also included a visit to the Shenzhen International Postal Hub.
