"Starting with the establishment of this branch, we will become pioneers in Central Asia and lay the foundation for future growth," said the head of Daewoo Engineering & Construction, Jong Won Ju, at the opening of the branch of the South Korean company on October 31 in Ashgabat. He noted that the branch will serve as an advanced base for promoting Daewoo E&C in the Central Asian market.
Daewoo E&C Chairman Jong Won Ju has visited Turkmenistan for the second time and is making every effort to receive orders for large factory projects in the country. In May of this year, he was accepted by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Turkmenistan.
At the opening ceremony of the branch in Turkmenistan , Jong Won Ju said: "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the governments of Turkmenistan and Korea, as well as officials for their active support in the establishment of the branch. Daewoo E&C is more than a private company. This is a bridge between Korea and Turkmenistan."
Daewoo E&C expects to receive orders for a plant for the production of ammonia and urea in the Balkan region and a plant for the production of phosphate fertilizers in Turkmenabat. In addition, the company expressed its readiness to participate in the second phase of the project of the new city of Arkadag.
