The President of Turkmenistan and the head of Daewoo E&C discussed new industrial projects

During the meeting, the head of state noted the positive dynamics of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea both in the political and diplomatic sphere and in the trade and economic sphere. Large Korean companies are involved in the implementation of important projects in the gas, chemical industry and other sectors of Turkmenistan. The inter-parliamentary dialogue between the two countries has also received new development.
Among the most topical themes of interaction is the chemical industry, where Turkmenistan aims to develop its rich reserves of natural raw materials, produce highly liquid products in the domestic and foreign markets, innovative modernization of production, taking into account modern environmental requirements as one of the main options, attracting investments in this area.
It was stated that the state concern "Turkmenhimiya" and Daewoo E&C have established fruitful contacts, and in this context, the Turkmen side is ready to consider proposals from Korean partners for the implementation of projects in the chemical industry, including the construction of plants for the production of ammonia and carbamide, phosphate fertilizers.
In addition, they discussed the possibilities of interaction in the development of new cities. In this aspect, Korean smart city technologies and developments in the field of renewable energy are of interest to Turkmenistan. The country is also ready to discuss new areas of cooperation in the fuel and energy sector.
Jong Won-Joo testified to the desire of the company he leads to advance in the Turkmen market.
On the same day, the National Leader, the head of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with the Chairman of the Board of Daewoo E&C, having discussed in detail the current state and prospects for further joint work.
