This was stated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan, Ji Shumin, during his speech at an event at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly dedicated to International Chinese Language Day.
According to him, more than 9,000 citizens of Turkmenistan are currently studying in China, reflecting a high level of interest in the Chinese language and the country’s education system.
The ambassador also announced plans to expand academic exchanges. In particular, students from Beijing Foreign Studies University are expected to arrive in Turkmenistan next year to study the Turkmen language at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly.
The diplomat emphasized that the development of such programs contributes to strengthening humanitarian ties between the countries and fostering mutual interest in languages and culture.
Further expansion of educational exchanges is expected to become an important part of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and China.
