At the Turkmen-Kazakh talks in Astana, special attention was paid to cooperation in the transport and transit sector. The parties agreed to take joint measures to bring the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railway to full capacity, according to the website of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is ready to increase the volume of imports of Turkmen gas to one and a half billion cubic meters per year. This was stated by Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev at a briefing for media representatives after the negotiations held on Saturday in Akorda.
