Afghan traders call the exhibition in Ashgabat "profitable", reporting large sales

After the end of the exhibition of Afghan goods in Ashgabat, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Nuruddin Azizi said that a significant amount of the country's products presented at the three-day exhibition had been sold.

The Afghan economic delegation, which included more than 300 businessmen and industrialists, returned to Kabul after a six-day trip to Turkmenistan. Azizi also said that Turkmenistan has become interested in white marble from Afghanistan and intends to purchase about 100 thousand cubic meters of this material, TOLO news writes.

A number of Afghan traders noted in an interview to the publication that they had signed contracts. “Contracts were concluded with us for the supply of 50 thousand tons of iron, 6 thousand tons of beams, and a contract for the supply of marble was also signed. This was a great achievement for Afghanistan,” one of them is quoted as saying.

Fifteen women traders and industrialists also took part in the exhibition. Women's products also had good sales at the exhibition, they said.

“Women participated in various sectors of the exhibition, and fortunately they were able to conclude contracts with Turkmenistan in the handicrafts, gemstones and carpets sectors,” Feriba Naseri, head of the board of directors of the Afghan Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry said.
