Iran announces reaching agreements with Russia on energy hub


Iran and Russia have reached certain agreements on the creation of an energy hub, negotiations on this issue are ongoing. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Oil of the Islamic Republic and Director General of the National Iranian Gas Company Majid Chegani, TASS reports.
"The Russian proposal is to create an energy hub between Iran and Russia, agreements have been reached in this regard, expert assessments and negotiations are ongoing," Iranian Tasnim quoted him as saying.
Cheghani also said that in the field of gas trade, Iran "has held talks with Oman, Russia and Pakistan." He added that European countries "are also submitting bids to buy Iranian gas."
On July 5, on the sidelines of the 8th OPEC International Seminar in Vienna, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Ouji noted that Tehran positively assesses the negotiations with Moscow on the creation of a gas hub in the republic.
Earlier, Oudji said that Iran, with the participation of Russia, Qatar and Turkmenistan, plans to create a gas hub in the Assaluye industrial area, located in Bushehr province on the northern coast of the Persian Gulf.
