Iran positively assessed the negotiations on the gas hub with the participation of Russia, Qatar and Turkmenistan

Iran assesses the negotiations with Russia on the creation of a gas hub in the Islamic Republic as good. This was stated to journalists by Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oudji on the sidelines of the eighth OPEC International Seminar.
"We have very good negotiations with Russia on a gas hub in Iran," he said, adding that negotiations began about two months ago, TASS reports.
Oudji added that Iran has large gas reserves and infrastructure to create a hub. "Our neighbors also have excellent potential for gas reserves - Qatar, Turkmenistan. These factors create an excellent opportunity to turn Iran into a regional gas hub," the minister said.
He stressed that Iran is successfully conducting discussions with different countries.
Earlier, Oudji stated that Iran, with the participation of Russia, Qatar and Turkmenistan, plans to create a gas hub in the Assaluye industrial area, located in Bushehr province on the northern shore of the Persian Gulf.
The eighth OPEC International Seminar is taking place on July 5-6 at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna. It is attended by ministers of OPEC and other oil producers, heads of international organizations and top managers of the world's largest energy companies. The main theme of the event is "Towards a sustainable and inclusive energy transition".
