Startup World Cup 2026 Global Competition Qualifying Round Will Be Held in Ashgabat

On September 19, Ashgabat will host a qualifying competition among Turkmenistan’s startups as part of Startup World Cup, an international program and one of the largest events in the global startup ecosystem. The event will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Bilelik Hub (Ashgabat Mall). Admission is free for all guests.
Startup World Cup (https://www.startupworldcup.io/) is a global-scale competition organized by venture capital firm Pegasus Tech Ventures. The final will be held in San Francisco on November 4–6, 2026, bringing together more than 200 projects from around the world. The winner will receive a prize of $1 million.
The qualifying round in Turkmenistan is organized by StartUp Academy (https://startup-tm.com/), the country’s first private startup accelerator. One ticket to the final in San Francisco will be awarded at the event. For local teams, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase themselves on the international stage, enter the global market, and attract investment.
The competition will be held in a pitch format, with presentations evaluated by a jury consisting of representatives of the BIZANGEL Business Angels Club, as well as active entrepreneurs and investors. The 12 best startups, selected from 51 applications, will present their ideas in English. Bill Reichert, Chief Evangelist of Startup World Cup and Partner at Pegasus Tech Ventures, will deliver opening remarks.
