A delegation from Turkmenistan visited Uzbekistan to participate in large-scale international equestrian events. The trip, which brought together equestrian industry specialists, scientists, cultural figures, and journalists, was a clear demonstration of the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two fraternal nations.
Our delegation participated in three events held in Tashkent: equestrian competitions, the "Pearl of the East" international beauty contest, and the international scientific and practical conference "The Akhal-Teke Horse – a Symbol of Friendship between Nations."
On May 8, the Yangi Toshkent Conference Hall hosted a conference bringing together industry experts, horse breeders, scientists-breeders, and diplomats from several countries. An exhibition of Turkmen arts and crafts was displayed in the foyer, adding a special atmosphere to the forum.
During the conference, which featured welcoming addresses from the heads of the State Association "Türkmenatlary," the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan, and the Ministry of Sport of Uzbekistan, the uniqueness of the Akhal-Teke breed was emphasized as one of the oldest in the world. Participants noted the inclusion of the national category "Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Art and Horse Decoration Traditions" on the UNESCO Representative List in 2024, representing global recognition of Turkmen heritage.
Particular attention in the reports, including by members of the International Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Association from Uzbekistan, was given to the development of the industry in Turkmenistan at a new level. This is exemplified by the Aba Annaev International Horse Breeding Academy and the Scientific and Production Center for Horse Breeding, established in the city of Arkadag, where all the necessary conditions have been created for the training of highly qualified specialists and breeding.
Meetings between the heads of relevant departments and educational institutions from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan were also held in Tashkent, where prospects for exchanging experience and implementing joint projects were discussed.
On May 9-10, equestrian competitions took place in the Tashkent region, attended by international specialists and experts from various countries.
The pale mare Pula from the Uzbegim otlari stud farm (Uzbekistan) won the two-year-old Akhal-Teke horse race for the prize of the State Concern Türkmengaz and the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan. In the same race, the horses Gadymydag and Gazaplı from the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan took second and third place.

On May 10, the 22nd World Championship of Akhal-Teke Horse Beauty was held as part of the "Pearl of the East" international competition, in which racehorses from six countries participated: Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
The magnificent racehorse, Aigytly, from the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, was the overall winner of the World Championship. The judges unanimously declared him the overall champion, and he was awarded the "Pearl of the East" and "World Champion" awards.
Aigytly, a descendant of Ari and Altynbash and a member of the famous Skak line, brought his trainer, the People's Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan, Kakamurat Agamyradov, the main prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the keys to a car, a cup, and a certificate of honor.
Meledag, from the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex (a descendant of Gadymygala and Fartun, from the Fakirpelvan line), was declared the world champion in the two-year-old competition. Trainer R. Dovadov was presented with the World Champion Cup for beauty, a certificate of honor, and a valuable gift.
Manoli-Khon from Uzbekistan took second place in this competition, while Raid from Tajikistan placed third. Zamin-Khon from Uzbekistan won among three-year-old horses, Gunesh from the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex took second, and Murod-Khon took third. Among four-year-old horses, Melikush-Khon, of a private breeder B. Ibodullaev, won first place, while Sanat-Khon of A. Mukhamedov took second place, and Sakhabatly from the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex took third. In the competition among horses six years and older, where Aigytly also won the world champion title, second place went to Diyaz-Khon, and third place went to the racehorse Gurman from Uzbekistan.
The title of absolute champion among mares was awarded to a horse from Uzbekistan, whose trainer was awarded the prize of the President of Turkmenistan, along with the keys to a modern car, cups, and certificates of honor.
