The Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan has informed citizens of Turkmenistan about the procedure for checking possible entry restrictions to the Russian Federation.
The diplomatic mission emphasized that the consular section does not have information about whether specific individuals are subject to an entry ban and cannot influence such decisions.
Citizens who have previously visited Russia and wish to check their status are advised to use official methods.
The first method is an online check via the website of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. To do this, applicants must fill out a special form, providing their surname and first name (as in their passport), date of birth, citizenship, and passport details. The system will then indicate whether there is an entry ban. However, the result is for reference only and is valid only at the time of the check.
The second method is the ruID mobile application, developed for foreign citizens. After registration, users can check for entry restrictions. The app also allows users to submit entry notifications, create a digital profile, and apply for a SNILS number and a government services account.
The embassy noted that entry restrictions may be imposed by various authorities, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other agencies. Therefore, checking through a single source does not guarantee the complete absence of a ban.
In case of doubts, it is recommended to send an official request to the territorial migration branch of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for confirmation.
Citizens are also advised to rely only on official sources for such information.
