Temperatures are expected to be close to the climatic norm in most of Turkmenistan in April. According to forecasters, deviations from the norm will range from -1 to +1°C, while in some areas, temperatures may be 1–2°C above normal. A similar situation is expected with precipitation. In most regions, amounts are expected to be in line with long-term averages.
In the country's capital, Ashgabat, the average monthly temperature in April is 17.6°C. The lowest temperature ever recorded was -0.8°C in 1956, while the absolute maximum was 40.6°C in 2025. Interestingly, in 2020, the temperature in April approached a historical low: on April 9, only 1.5°C was recorded, which is considered rare for this time of year.
The average monthly precipitation in the capital is 28 mm. While April previously ranked second in annual precipitation, in recent decades it has yielded this position to February and now ranks third.
