A briefing was held at the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran (Mashhad) on key topics on Turkmenistan's international agenda: The International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality.

The event brought together representatives of leading Iranian media outlets, including the Maghtymguly Publishing Center, Turkmen Diyar magazine, and the Ulkamiz and Sachag public news agencies.

The briefing began with an exhibition organized by the Consulate General, featuring books, scholarly works by the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and works of decorative and applied art.

A key moment was the presentation of a special issue of "ECO Heritage" magazine, prepared and published to mark the International Year of Peace and Trust and the Anniversary of Neutrality. This issue, jointly produced by the Institute of Culture of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the Embassy and Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran, served as a visual aid explaining the principles of Turkmenistan's foreign policy.

In his speech, Guvanchmurat Atayev, Consul General of Turkmenistan in Mashhad, emphasized that under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the country's domestic and foreign policies are aimed at developing positive and mutually beneficial relations, elevating bilateral and multilateral ties to a new, high level.

The Consul General elaborated on Turkmenistan's active efforts, which adheres to a policy of neutrality, to strengthen peace, security, and sustainable development in the region.

"Turkmenistan actively promotes a culture of mutual trust in the region and globally. Our policy of neutrality is not a passive choice, but an active tool for maintaining stability and promoting constructive dialogue," Guvanchmurat Atayev noted.

The briefing in Mashhad became an important platform for informing Iranian media about Ashgabat's key international initiatives and contributed to the further strengthening of cultural and information exchanges between the two neighboring states.
