OpenAI Unveils AI-Powered Browser ChatGPT Atlas

The American technology company OpenAI has announced the launch of a new AI-powered web browser called ChatGPT Atlas.

According to the company, Atlas is designed as a browser centered around ChatGPT, with its functionality integrated with artificial intelligence capabilities.

OpenAI states that the browser features built-in ChatGPT memory, allowing it to use information and details from previous conversations when performing new tasks. This feature enables Atlas to remember the context of visited websites and retrieve it when needed.

OpenAI announced the launch of a new AI-powered web browser called ChatGPT Atlas.

The company emphasized that the browser’s memory is fully optional — users can view, archive, or delete saved data at any time. Clearing the browsing history automatically removes the corresponding memory records.

As of October 23, ChatGPT Atlas is available to macOS users across all subscription plans — Free, Plus, Pro, and Go. Versions for Windows, iOS, and Android are expected to launch soon.

Additionally, Atlas includes an “agent mode” that allows users to perform tasks on their behalf, such as conducting research, analyzing information, planning events, and scheduling appointments. This mode is available in preview for ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Business users.
