A Festival of Wisdom and Music was Held in Mary, Featuring the "Come on, Grandmothers!" Competition and a Scarf Battle.
07.10.2025 | 19:35 |A truly heartwarming and vibrant triple celebration took place in the city of Mary. On October 5, residents united to celebrate three significant dates: International Day of Older Persons, Teachers' Day, and International Music Day, all of which formed a wonderful puzzle.
The organizers—the “Dyap-Dessur” Business Association and the “Dari Dobro” Club—didn't just put on a concert; they created an atmosphere of genuine attention, proving that wisdom and age are sources of inspiration.
The highlight of the evening was the "Come on, Grandmothers!" competition, where nine active and creative participants demonstrated their vital energy. The participants shone in original self-presentations and amazed the audience with their musical numbers.
A unique competition for speed and style elicited particular delight and thunderous applause: grandmothers had one minute to create an original scarf composition. This resourcefulness, creativity, and catching humor brought countless smiles to the audience, making the competition the highlight of the celebration.
The festive program included songs and greetings, and concluded with a traditional heartfelt tea party, where the older generation shared their life experiences and wisdom with the guests.
The organizers emphasized that such gatherings serve a special purpose: they unite generations and serve as an expression of deep gratitude to their elders.
"For us, this celebration is an opportunity not only to express gratitude to our elders for their life experience and kindness, but also to show that we are there for them. Such gatherings create a special atmosphere of warmth and unity," Shirin Zhozhyeva, Director of the Dyap-Dessur Business Association noted.
Special thanks were extended to the partners whose support helped create an unforgettable celebration. The insurance company Resmi Kepil and Bossan Concept, a manufacturer of luxury furniture for the home and garden, played a particularly important role. As a pleasant culmination, Bossan Concept prepared memorable gifts for all the competition participants, making the day even more joyful.
The event in Mary was a vivid demonstration that respect for the older generation is not a formality, but a source of creative inspiration and warmth that unites all ages.
