 Turkmenistan's economy showed steady growth in 8 months of 2025

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Khodjamyrat Geldimyradov presented preliminary macroeconomic indicators of Turkmenistan for the first eight months of 2025. The report, announced at a government meeting on Friday, shows stable development in all sectors of the economy.

Key indicators

GDP growth: The country's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 6.3%.

Production: The volume of manufactured products as a whole increased by 9.9% as compared to the same period of the last year.

Trade: A significant increase was noted in retail turnover (by 13.1%) and foreign trade turnover (by 5.5%).

Investments: The volume of capital investments, mastered from all sources of financing, increased by 10.8%.

The Deputy Prime Minister also reported positive growth rates in key industries:

Transport and communications: +11%

Trade: +9.8%

Services: +8.4%

Construction: +7%

Agriculture: +4.9%

Industry: +1.5%

It was noted that during the reporting period, the revenue part of the State Budget was executed at 100%. The average wage at large and medium-sized enterprises in the country increased by 11.9%. Wages, pensions, benefits and scholarships were financed in a timely manner.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to take the necessary measures to maintain the stability of macroeconomic indicators, as well as regularly analyze the implementation of production plans by ministries and departments.


The data was announced in a news broadcast on the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company on the evening of August 29.
