Music as the Language of Peace: Which Stars of the Turkmen Stage will Take Part in the Concert in Moscow
31.07.2025 | 23:05 |The grand Russian-Turkmen concert "Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood" promises to become a landmark event in the cultural dialogue of the two countries. The announcement of the event has already generated wide interest, and now we are ready to introduce those whose skill and talent will fill this evening with special depth and meaning.
The concert will take place on August 15 within the walls of the prestigious Rachmaninoff Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky. This musical event, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the International Year of Peace and Trust, will become not only a celebration of high art, but also a living tribute to the heroic past and the desire for a harmonious future.
The event was based on the book by National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, “Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood.” Using the legend of Shukur-bakhshi as an example, it affirms the peacemaking role of art, which is capable of uniting and reconciling, overcoming any differences. This philosophy of unity will be the leitmotif of the entire evening, when outstanding musicians of two fraternal countries will meet on one stage.
Masters of Turkmenistan: Musical Portraits
The Turkmen delegation included artists whose names are well known in academic and folk art. These are not just performers, but keepers of traditions and innovators whose work has already become part of the cultural landscape.
Bahram Dolyev (violin) — is a virtuoso performer whose name has become synonymous with academic music in Turkmenistan. A student of outstanding teacher Nikolay Amiyants, he not only continued his teaching mission at his native conservatory, but also became the founder and artistic director of the chamber orchestra "Camerata Ashgabat". Dolyev is a laureate of the state prize "Türkmeniň altyn asyry" and the winner of the Grand Prix of the Moscow International Arts Festival "Sounds of Dutar". His skill and dedication to art make him one of the most authoritative musicians of his generation.
Aylar Batayarova (violin) — is a bright representative of the new wave of Turkmen violinists. A graduate of Bahram Dolyev's class, she is rapidly gaining recognition on the international stage, as evidenced by her participation in the Pan-Caucasian Festival and joint performances with such masters as Liza Batiashvili and Efim Bronfman. Aylar gives solo concerts and shares her unique experience by teaching young musicians, which makes her not only a talented performer, but also a mentor.
Elman Nasyrov (viola) - is a true all-rounder whose talent extends from classical performance with the State Symphony Orchestra to virtuoso arrangements of national melodies. His extensive stage experience includes performances at the famous Vienna Konzerthaus and the Richard Wagner Festival in Bayreuth. As a teacher, he brings up a new generation of musicians whose victories at competitions testify to the highest level of his methodology.
Kakageldi Khodjalekov (cello) - is a talented cellist and teacher whose path from international student orchestras (CIS, TURKSOY) to a solo and ensemble career demonstrates his deep dedication to music. Today, he passes on his skills to students of the Turkmen National Conservatory, inspiring them to creative achievements.
Lachin Khudaiberdiyeva (dutar) - is the keeper and researcher of Turkmen musical traditions. A laureate of the "Türkmeniň altyn asyry" competition, she is one of the most outstanding dutar performers. Lachin not only plays, but also studies music: her dissertation is devoted to the intricacies of the compositional structure of Turkmen music. The author of her own compositions, such as the popular "Mukamym sen Ashgabat", she masterfully combines tradition and innovation.
Gurbanmyrat Baydzhikov (gijak) - is a gifted gijak player, whose work is the embodiment of the continuity of generations. A student of People's Artist of Turkmenistan Nuryagdy Bayramov, he himself is now a mentor at the conservatory. Awarded the medal “For Love of the Fatherland”, he honorably represented Turkmen culture on international stages from Turkey to Qatar, affirming its greatness and originality.
Depth and Harmony: Beyond the Concert
Before the concert, a lecture by famous Turkmen musicologist Elena Osipova will be held in the conference hall of the conservatory. Her presentation on the topic “Small and Big Motherland in the Works of Russian and Turkmen Composers of the 20th Century” will be a deep dive into the history and theory of music, revealing common motives and meanings in the works of the two peoples.
The event will be complemented by art and book exhibitions, which will become a clear evidence of the rich cultural heritage of Turkmenistan.
This concert is not just a musical event. It is a bridge across time and space, connecting hearts and minds. Within the walls of the Moscow Conservatory, music will become the very universal language that will remind us: the true greatness of civilizations is not in the power of arms, but in the beauty of art, capable of giving peace and unity.
