The 7th International Lendoc Film Festival (LEFF) will be held in St. Petersburg from August 20 to 22, 2026. This year, the festival's geography has expanded significantly: in addition to the CIS countries, which include Turkmenistan, the BRICS countries—Brazil, India, China, and South Africa—will also be participating.
One of LEFF's key features is its emphasis on co-production. Applications for pitching co-production projects have already begun. This is a unique platform for Turkmen directors and producers to find partners from Russia and other countries to bring their ideas to life. Winners will receive professional production support.
Pitching applications are accepted until July 20, 2026, on the festival's official website.
The festival program includes three main categories:
Feature Films (60 minutes and longer);
Documentaries (40 minutes and longer);
Lendoc Start Student Films (10 minutes and longer).
The deadline for applications for the main competition is July 15, 2026.
As part of the business program, a meeting of film industry leaders will be held on August 21 at the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg. The main topics will be the creation of a unified scriptwriting laboratory and the development of co-production mechanisms. The participation of representatives from Turkmenistan in such discussions opens new horizons for the promotion of domestic cinema abroad.
