Turkmenistan and Yunus Emre Institute Strengthen Cultural Ties in Brussels
01.08.2025 | 16:00 |In Brussels, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Sapar Palvanov, held a meeting with the coordinator of the Yunus Emre Institute, Abdullah Demir, to discuss prospects for cultural cooperation.
The parties discussed joint projects, including the promotion of the legacy of Magtymguly Pyragy — the great Turkmen poet, philosopher, and humanist — using the institute’s resources.
The ambassador recalled that Turkmenistan widely celebrated the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy last year and proposed launching a joint project dedicated to the peacemaking and humanistic message of Magtymguly Fragi and Yunus Emre. Both poets, united by their devotion to peace and harmony, called on humanity to embrace tolerance, spiritual wholeness, and unity.
In the context of Turkmenistan’s declared Year of Peace and Trust, both sides agreed to intensify cooperation and promote intercultural dialogue through joint events in Brussels.
