President Serdar Berdimuhamedov Outlined Key Tasks for the Agricultural Complex

On June 30, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via videoconference with Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atakhalliyev and leaders of regions. The focus was on the development of the country's agricultural sector and the progress of current agricultural campaigns. A special reason for congratulations was the successful fulfillment of contractual obligations by grain growers in the Akhal velayat to harvest wheat, which exceeded 400 thousand tons.

In general, the grain harvest is in its final stages throughout the country. The regions are actively preparing the vacated fields for the next sowing season, selecting high-quality seeds and ensuring timely payments to grain producers. At the same time, intensive care of cotton crops is underway, including inter-row cultivation, fertilization with mineral fertilizers and irrigation. The harvest of potatoes and vegetable and melon crops continues to supply domestic markets. In some regions, rice fields are also being tended and sugar beets are being planted.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of harvesting the entire wheat crop without losses and strictly adhering to agricultural practices when caring for cotton. He also gave instructions to monitor the construction of social, cultural and production facilities scheduled for commissioning this year as part of state development programs.

Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atakhalliyev presented a general picture of the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the country. Summing up the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the key role of the agricultural sector in the national economy. The head of state emphasized the need for widespread introduction of modern methods and technologies, as well as best practices to increase the yield and quality of agricultural products. He instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to keep these tasks under strict control, as well as to ensure a high-quality completion of the grain harvesting campaign and lay the foundation for next year's harvest.
