A dedicated TV project for foreign nationals to study Russian language has been launched in the BRICS+ countries

The international network TV BRICS has initiated a new educational television project aimed at facilitating the learning of the Russian language for foreign individuals residing in the BRICS+ countries.

This project, entitled "Russian Lessons with Tanya Semke" forms part of TV BRICS' strategic endeavors to promote the Russian language and culture internationally. The project's slogan, "The Russian language brings cultures closer" underscores the significance of language as a tool for cultural exchange and mutual understanding among peoples.

The program "Russian Lessons with Tanya Semke" will be broadcast twice weekly, commencing on March 25, 2025. The program comprises 99 episodes, each approximately four minutes in duration.

The lessons, presented in an engaging and accessible manner, assist foreign learners in acquiring the fundamentals of grammar, developing Russian reading skills, and building vocabulary for everyday communication. The initiator and host of the series is Tanya Semke, a teacher and author of Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL) curricula.

The program will be broadcast on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the English-language feed of the TV BRICS channel, as well as on the corresponding language versions of the media network's information portal. The lessons will be available for broadcast in the media outlets of BRICS+ and Global South countries, thereby ensuring broad access to the educational content.
