Arab "Schengen" visa to be launched soon
23.06.2025 | 14:00 |According to His Excellency Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, the UAE Minister of Economy, a unified Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) tourist visa has been approved and will be implemented in the near future.
This single-entry visa will allow international tourists to visit all six GCC member states—the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait—with one document. This initiative is regarded as a significant advancement for the region's tourism industry, with experts anticipating it will generate new employment opportunities and substantially contribute to GDP growth.
The introduction of the unified visa is expected to boost the popularity of combined trips, integrating both business and leisure travel. Tourists will be able to address business matters while also exploring neighboring countries, thereby enriching their travel experiences.
