 UNFPA presents new Country Programme for Turkmenistan

The Representative Office of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Turkmenistan introduced its Country Programme for 2026-2030 to national partners.

This event marked a significant step in strengthening the cooperation between UNFPA and Turkmenistan.

The Country Programme, developed in collaboration with national partners, outlines the priority areas of UNFPA's activities in the country for the next five years. It is based on the outcomes of consultative meetings held in 2024 and aligns with the national priorities and needs of the population of Turkmenistan.

"UNFPA reaffirms its unwavering commitment to supporting Turkmenistan in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. We rely on close and effective cooperation with national partners for the successful implementation of the Country Programme for 2026-2030. We are confident that through joint efforts, the programme will make a significant contribution to enhancing the well-being of the population of Turkmenistan" emphasized the UNFPA Country Director for Turkmenistan, Chinwe Ogbonna.
