Turkmenistan has launched the "Athlete of the Month" competition, in which citizens will determine the best athlete of the month through SMS voting. The initiative will be implemented by the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting, and Cinematography, the "Türkmenistan Sport" TV channel, the "Mahabat" Department, and the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports.
This month, seven athletes from the institute who have shown the best results in international competitions are vying for the title of "Athlete of the Month". Each athlete has their own number:
Shahzodbek Matyakubov – 7
Sabina Kadyrova – 8
Nurmuhammet Baydogdyev – 9
Guvanch Hemrayev – 10
Maysa Pardayeva – 11
Amanmuhammet Hommadov – 12
Gulnabat Yazilova – 13
Throughout the month, viewers will be presented with video clips about each of the athletes, footage from their daily training sessions, demonstrations of the nominees' performances in international competitions, and information about their best achievements.
The athlete who receives the most SMS votes will be awarded the corresponding title. The voting results will be available on the website turkmentv.gov.tm.
The winner of the competition will receive valuable gifts and honorary certificates. A special program featuring the winner of the nomination will be broadcast on the "Türkmenistan Sport" TV channel. In addition, a special television film will be made about them.
