The UN Human Rights Council notes a new level of interaction with Turkmenistan
15.02.2025 | 19:25 |On February 13, the issues of cooperation in the field of human rights were discussed at a meeting between the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office at Geneva Vepa Hajyyev and the Director of the Department of Treaty Mechanisms of the Human Rights Council Mahamane Cissé-Gouro.
Cissé-Gouro highly praised the successes achieved by Turkmenistan, noting that the country's cooperation with the relevant UN structures has reached a new qualitative level.
The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of bilateral interaction and emphasized the importance of continuing a constructive dialogue and exchanging experience in the field of promotion and protection of human rights.
"The meeting was held in a positive and friendly atmosphere, confirming the commitment of both sides to further deepening cooperation within the framework of Turkmenistan's consistent fulfillment of its international obligations in the field of human rights", the Turkmen diplomatic mission commented.
