Central Asia demonstrates impressive economic growth

The economy of Central Asia is growing 40% faster than the global average, opening up investment opportunities in the heart of Eurasia, the press service of the Eurasian Development Bank reports.

Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Economist of the Eurasian Development Bank Evgeny Vinokurov notes that the economy of Central Asia grew by an average of 4.7% annually in 2022-2024. "This is more than 40% faster than the world as a whole." According to EDB estimates, in 2024, the nominal GDP of Central Asia amounted to about $520 billion, thereby exceeding the half-trillion mark.

"The last two years confirm our beliefs. Central Asia is a dynamic region that not only remains resilient in the face of global challenges, but also demonstrates impressive growth rates, outpacing many emerging markets," the report concludes.
