President of Turkmenistan holds meeting of State Security Council
06.03.2025 | 02:00 |President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the State Security Council on Wednesday, where they summed up the work of the security forces for January-February 2025.
Secretary of the Security Council, Minister of Defense Begench Gundogdyev reported on the measures taken since the beginning of the year to strengthen the country's defense capability, the introduction of digital systems and best practices in subordinate structures. He also reported on the progress of the Armed Forces Development Program, including the creation of conditions for service and comfortable living conditions for military personnel and their families.
The heads of law enforcement agencies, including the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Supreme Court, the Ministry of National Security, the Ministry of Justice, as well as the heads of the border, customs and migration services, presented reports on their activities over two months.
During the meeting, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces signed a decree on the appointment and dismissal of judges, as well as on assigning them qualification classes.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered the heads of security agencies to continue the modernization of the Armed Forces in accordance with the Defensive Doctrine of Neutral Turkmenistan. The Army General paid special attention to the issues of further strengthening the material and technical base, improving the qualifications of officers and patriotic education of youth.
