Oriented on making people closer

The third meeting of the border authorities of Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran was held at the "Artyk" customs post located on the Turkmen-Iranian border. This is reported on the website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, customs, border and migration services, the "Turkmenavtoulaglary" and "Turkmendemiryolları" agencies from the Turkmen side, and the governor of Dargaz, the head and employees of the "Lotfabad" customs post, the head and employees of the border post, as well as representatives of the Iranian Embassy in Turkmenistan from the Iranian side.

The participants discussed issues related to increasing the capacity and operating hours of the Artyk and Lotfabad checkpoints, expanding cooperation in preventing the illegal movement of goods across customs borders. In this regard, they considered issues of unifying approaches to customs control at checkpoints.
