The Father's Day was celebrated at the Iranian Cultural Center in Ashgabat
13.01.2025 | 23:00 |An event dedicated to Father's Day took place at the Iranian Cultural Center under the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat.
The celebration was organized in honor of the birthday of Hazrat Ali, which is traditionally celebrated as Father's Day in Iran. The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, students studying Persian, as well as invited guests.
The meeting was opened by the head of the Iranian Cultural Center in Ashgabat, Ebrahim Parviz. He emphasized the importance of the role of fathers in family and society: "A father in family life is a symbol of stability, support and mentorship. His presence is important not only in material terms, but also in raising children, strengthening moral values".
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbahani, also addressed the participants. He noted:
"Father's Day in Iran coincides with the birthday of Hazrat Ali. This is a day when we pay tribute to fathers, their love and the efforts they put into strengthening family values. In our country, as well as in Turkmenistan, the father is the mainstay of the family."
The event program included musical performances, poetry readings and theatrical performances. Students studying Persian prepared a song and touching videos about the role of the father in the family.
Special attention of the guests was drawn to a poem in the Turkmen language and comedic scenes, which evoked enthusiastic applause.
In conclusion, participants were presented with memorable gifts and certificates of completion of courses.
The organizers also treated guests with traditional sweets.
