Oriented on making people closer

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated compatriots on Independence Day of Turkmenistan. In his celebratory address, the head of state noted:

"Thirty-three years ago, the world community recognized Turkmenistan as an independent state. Since then and to this day, the annals of the Fatherland are filled with glorious accomplishments: the intended goals are achieved, radically changing the lives of each of us, our country is consistently strengthening its position among the progressive states of the planet. Every day, month and year of the current era is filled with very important political, economic, cultural and social events. And against their background, we, following the dream of our ancestors to build a national power capable of uniting society, are consistently strengthening the foundations of a new democratic, legal and secular state."

For several decades, Turkmenistan has been successfully implementing programs to improve the standard and quality of life, create a competitive national economy, and comprehensively develop the country, the President's address says. At the same time, social and economic well-being is ensured in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, in all regions of the country, and great opportunities are created for innovative economic growth through its diversification and modernization.

Grandiose construction has been launched across Turkmenistan, domestic enterprises equipped with the latest generation technology are producing high-quality products, and social security and the standard of living of our citizens are increasing. We admire and are proud of these achievements, they inspire us to creative work.

The head of state noted that a number of social facilities were opened on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of independence. At the same time, construction has begun on a section of a grandiose project implemented using our own investments - this section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline along the Serhetabat-Herat route is called "Arkadagyň ak ýoly". At the same time, the opening and laying of transport, communications and logistics infrastructure facilities took place. All these events fully testify to the significant spiritual revival of the nation and the colossal strength of our state, the President emphasized.

The head of state noted the growing international authority of Turkmenistan as a reliable and responsible partner. "Our initiatives in the interests of all mankind, in particular, on global security and maintaining sustainable development, are receiving universal recognition." The dialogue with countries of the world and international organizations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields is intensifying. Such cooperation is friendly, open and multilateral. Interaction with authoritative structures, especially with the UN, is also gaining momentum.

The eve of the 33rd anniversary of independence was marked by a grand event - a meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty, the address noted. "We will actively continue large-scale work to increase the authority of the independent neutral Fatherland in the world, to ensure a happy life for citizens. Relying on the unshakable principles of patriotism, peacefulness and friendship, national experience in building a democratic, legal and secular state, we will direct all efforts to enhance and strengthen our position on the world stage," the head of state said. Having wished all Turkmen citizens good health, happiness and family well-being, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov concluded his holiday message with the words:

"May the independent neutral Fatherland, striving along the path of great achievements, continue to prosper, and may its glory and authority on the world stage increase!"
