As part of the official visit of the delegation from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan to the People's Republic of China a meeting took place between the Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan and Mr. Sung Gang, Director of the "ICT Talent Partnership Development" Department of Huawei. During the meeting, they discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of digital transformation of Turkmenistan's education system and the development of ICT personnel to ensure the innovative growth of the country's economy.

Key discussion topics:

Development of the digital infrastructure of Turkmenistan's educational institutions. Mr. Sung Gang emphasized Huawei's readiness to collaborate in training and preparing ICT personnel. One of the key topics was the development of educational programs in information and communication technologies. Huawei proposed integrating its certified courses on 5G, IoT, and cloud computing technologies into the curricula of leading universities in Turkmenistan. They also discussed the possibility of using cloud solutions and AI in educational processes, particularly the implementation of AI-based platforms for adaptive learning, which would allow the personalization of educational programs for students, analyze their progress and needs, and create a virtual learning environment. These technologies could be used to improve the quality of education and optimize educational processes in the country.

Cooperation in creating innovation and research centers. In this area, they discussed the possibility of establishing research and innovation centers at Turkmenistan's universities in partnership with Huawei. These centers would focus on developing new ICT solutions, which would help enhance the country’s scientific and technological potential and support the innovation ecosystem.

Joint internship and professional development programs. The Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, A. Atayev, expressed interest in organizing internships for teachers and students at Huawei's technology centers, as well as developing professional development programs for staff in educational institutions. Such programs would provide participants with unique experience working with cutting-edge technologies and improve their professional skills.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue discussing concrete steps for implementing the proposed initiatives, with the aim of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and Huawei for the establishment of an educational ICT technology center, which would serve as a hub for coordinating and developing cooperation in the identified areas. The center would serve as a platform for exchanging experiences and promoting joint initiatives in key areas such as big data, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, and the Internet of Things. During the discussion of educational programs like Big Data, AI, and others, they also touched upon the necessary equipment that is planned to be integrated into the center's operations. The Deputy Minister of Education noted the importance of artificial intelligence not only as a standalone field but also as a cross-cutting technology that enhances the efficiency of all sectors of the economy. He emphasized that the development of AI skills is needed across all educational disciplines to ensure the competitiveness of students at the international level. It was also noted that expert support would be required for the successful implementation of these initiatives. In this regard, Mr. Sung Gang proposed leveraging the potential of Huawei's partners, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shenzhen Polytechnic University. These institutions are ranked among the top in international ratings, confirming their high level and readiness to contribute to the development of educational and technological solutions in Turkmenistan.
