Oriented on making people closer

During a three-day meeting held at the Science and Technology Park in Iran's Khorasan-Razavi province, representatives from Oghuz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan stated that this cooperation can contribute to the development of new technologies and increase the scientific potential of the two countries, ISNA reported.

Turkmen specialists got acquainted with the capabilities of the Science and Technology Park in Mashhad in the petrochemical, electronic, and other fields and expressed interest in cooperation in innovation and technology.

A proposal was put forward to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technologies of Turkmenistan and the Khorasan Science and Technology Park to strengthen scientific, research and technological cooperation, as well as the exchange of knowledge and experience between the two countries, and to promote the development of an innovation ecosystem.

It was noted that thanks to the neighborhood of the two countries, common geographical features, and needs, cooperation in various fields is possible, and thanks to the integration of existing resources, energy, and networks, exceptional opportunities will be created for technological progress, conducting joint research projects and developments, and launching startups.

Other primary goals of cooperation include the creation of innovation and technology development centers, holding of joint seminars, and attracting investors from both countries to this field.

Currently, there are 475 technology companies operating in the Khorasan Science and Technology Park, focusing on information technology, the food industry, agriculture, medical equipment, and other sectors, employing approximately 6,000 people.
