OpenAI introduced SearchGPT search engine based on AI

The American company OpenAI presented a test version of the SearchGPT search engine based on artificial intelligence. This was reported by the American daily business newspaper The Wall Street Journal.

OpenAI has partnered with major news outlets to access their content for SearchGPT training. These include such foreign publications as Associated Press, Financial Times, Business Insider, Le Monde and others.

By summarizing information found on websites, including news resources, the SearchGPT search engine will quickly and directly answer users' questions. Moreover, at the end of each answer, he will provide links to relevant sources.

“We're testing SearchGPT, designed to combine the power of our AI models with information from the web to give you quick, timely answers with clear, relevant sources. We are launching it to a small group of users and publishers to get feedback,” the company said in a press release.

SearchGPT will also be able to answer clarifying questions from users.

Experts believe that SearchGPT will be able to compete with Google, which has long become a monopolist in this market.
