Entrepreneur and programmer, founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov announced the launch of a new service - the Bot Payments payment system.

He announced this on the social network Instagram.

“Imagine a world where you can order a pizza, pay for a pair of shoes... by typing a couple of messages on your Telegram. To make this possible, today we are introducing a payment service using bots - it will allow bots to accept payments from their users,” Durov said in a statement.

In Telegram, bots act as interlocutors: various retail networks and media resources have their own bots. They allow users to perform various actions, including registering bonus cards, clarifying product data, or purchasing a subscription by entering short commands.

The bot that has connected payments will prompt the user to enter a special payment command. In order to use it for the first time, the user will need to enter his bank card details, but only once - then he will be able to make purchases using normal actions.
