This year the marathon will be held for the sixth time with the participation of professional athletes and amateur runners.

It is expected that it will host about 6 thousand athletes from 32 countries.

To date, more than 2 thousand people have already submitted their applications, including members of leading running clubs in Central Asia.

The event program includes a classic marathon of 42 km, a half marathon of 21 km, as well as distances of 3 and 10 km. On April 20, before the start of the main race, it is planned to hold a marathon for children “Kids Run”, as well as Nordic walking competitions, which are popular among various age groups.

This year, the organizers increased the total prize fund of the Tashkent Marathon to 720 million soums. In addition, for the first time, in addition to the main rewards, additional bonuses will be provided for setting track records among men and women - 15 million sums for the marathon distance and 10 million sums for the half marathon.

The distance route will run along the central streets of the Uzbek capital, which will allow participants to get to know the city better.

Registration for the 6th BYD Tashkent International Marathon will end on April 5.
