Scientists from Mary experiment generation of electric power from wind
16.07.2020 | 23:02 |Scientists and post-graduate students of the State Power Engineering Institute in Mary city experiment ways of production of electric power from wind. An article about researches has been published in the local press by the employee of the research-and-production centre «Renewed energy sources» at the Power Energy Institute Muhammetaliseyid Gurbanmammedov.
Researches are held within the limits of the project on building of solar and wind power stations by the man-made lake «Altyn asyr». It is the ecological project largest in the region which brings a contribution to the improvement of environment of the country and the region of Central Asia, a solution of problem of drying of the Aral Sea.
For conduction of experiments experts of the Power Engineering Institute have built a wind power station with a rated power of 2 kW. It is enough for maintenance with electricity of a big study room for several employees.
One of the key problems of scientists is to study the work of wind power station for its use in a combination with solar panels. It will allow providing with the electric power settlements nearby the man-made lake «Altyn asyr » all the yearlong, without dependence from weather conditions.
The wind-driven power station built by experts, begins electric power development at a speed of wind 3 м\s. To provide electric power development in volume of 2 kw installation begins at a speed of a wind 10 м\s.
Within a year a speed of wind in different regions of Turkmenistan fluctuates on the average from 2 to 12 м\s. Thus the quantity of sunny days in the country at times reaches 240 in a year. Less sunny days are colder and windy. Conducting estimations Turkmen power engineers calculate two different sources of "green" energy for a combination of their work in the conditions of Turkmenistan.
